Find-a-Drug readme file for Microsoft Windows

This version should run on any PC running Windows XP, NT, 2000, 98 or ME. It will run on Windows 95 but this is not supported and requires winsock.dll to be installed - see faq pages.

The file downloaded will have a name of form fadvnnnz.exe where nnn is a number and z is a letter. The files in this executable will self-extract when double clicked in the Windows File Explorer or the program executed in a command window. A series of dialogs are displayed which allow members to specify which folder the software is installed in etc.

After installation, the Find-a-Drug control panel or setup program is run. Members register by entering a Nickname and e-mail address. Advanced configuration options allow the country and team to be specified (see the setup help) as well as selecting the projects. Assuming this completes without generating an error message the server communication program starts and except in screen-save mode the computational application THINK begins. A job is then downloaded and processing starts. An icon is displayed in the system tray which allows easy access to sleep and snooze controls; the THINK application graphics and Job Queue server windows.
